ইসলাম শব্দের অর্থ কী?
ইসলাম হল সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ ধর্মগ্রন্থ। আরবী ভাষার অভিধান অনুযায়ী “ইসলাম” শব্দটির অর্থ হল আত্মসমর্পণ করা। এক আল্লাহ ও অন্য কোনো প্রভু বা ঈশ্বর নেই এই ধর্মবিশ্বাস যার মূল শিক্ষা হল ইসলাম। এক আল্লাহ ছাড়া আর কোন ঈশ্বর নেই এবং মুহাম্মদ (সাল্লালাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ) হলেন আল্লাহর প্রেরিত নবী ও রাসূল।
এটি আল্লাহর নিকট একমাত্র গ্রহণযোগ্য পূর্ণাঙ্গ জীবন ব্যবস্থা ধর্মগ্রন্থ হল ইসলাম । ইসলাম কোন নতুন ধর্ম নয়, বরং সৃষ্টির শুরু থেকেই ইসলামের উৎপত্তি। আদম ছিলেন এই পৃথিবীর প্রথম মানব এবং ইসলামের প্রথম নবী। আর শেষ নবী হলেন হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সাল্লালাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম )। ইসলাম হল শান্তি ধর্ম। সকল মুসলিম মুমিন দের জন্য পথ নির্দেশ হিসেবে কুরআন হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সা:) উপর নাজিল হয়েছে।পৃথিবীর সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ গ্রন্থ হল ইসলাম এবং সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ মানুষ হলেন হযরত মুহাম্মদ ( সাল্লালাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম )।
